Edward J. Deisher, Candidate For Bethel Township Supervisor

Ed is a third generation Realtor and local small business owner. Ed has actively been involved in the community over the years with BYC, Garnet Valley Ice Hockey, Business Professional Association of Western Delaware County, Home Builders Association of Delaware and Chester Counties and Tri County Suburban West Realtor Association.

Ed’s grandfather, John Deisher, started his real estate business in Philadelphia in October,1913 and almost lost it during the Great Depression.  Ed’s father, E. Franklin Deisher, purchased the company in 1963 and expanded into insurance and property management with multiple locations in Philadelphia. Both were instrumental figures in real estate on a regional and state level.  They were also engaged in many civic organizations. Ed learned a lot from them and their experiences extending over 100 years.

“Bethel Township has been our home now for over 32 years. It is unique in Delaware County as a small bedroom community while providing a police department and a myriad of important services for its residents. With costs at an all-time high, I feel strongly in bringing a solid business approach to insure a continuation of these services at the best possible pricing.”

In his spare time, Ed loves spending time with his wife Joan, children, Scott (Nicole) and Lindsay (Kris), grandchildren, all of whom live locally.  Ed also enjoys golf, boating and working on classic cars.

Ed and his wife Joan were living in Media in 1992 with 2 small children.  They began looking to relocate to an area with good schools and more room for the family. Joan, being an elementary school teacher, was sold on the “Up and Coming” GVSD. In 1993 they purchased a new home in Chartwell and relocated to Bethel Township. They immediately knew they had made a great decision. Their kids thrived, went on to college, started careers, got married and now reside in the GVSD. They now have 3 grandchildren. The oldest started GV Elementary School last year.

Pennsylvania’s primary election is May 20, 2025.
